TM Ghost putters - finish not durable?

I'm a bit of a putter ho and have been stalking a TM Ghost putter.

Problem is, I'm noticing that some photos of used ones seem to show the paint wearing off around the edges.

It looks as if just taking it in and out of the headcover will make the paint wear off so that there's an ugly grey line at almost every edge.

I'm not talking about wear from misuse and bag chatter.

I had a black Rife putter and it was the same problem.

Does anyone have any experience with or knowledge of this issue?

but to answer the question mines fine and had it over a year, its a different model to the above but the pain i imagine is the same,...i cant see what would cause such excessive wear :S

im constantly bouncing the ball around on mine doing tricks and stuff and its absolutely fine, not a scratch
