hey guys. so i decided to get the adams a4r iron set. i tried them out at the range today. i noticed a couple things during my session. first of all compared to my old cavity irons, these seem more solid at impact. second i dont seem to hit them has far as teh old ones. do you guys think i just need to get used to them? also i mightve been off today but i was hitting lots of fades, compared to some of the crazy slices with my old irons. the one thing is i really love the hybrid and the gap wedge. i could never hit the hybrids in my old set and this one is so easy to hit. the gap wedge has honesly become my favorite wedge. it goes exactly where i want and i love chipping with it.

If you hit them solid and consistently who cares if they don't go as far. It could be a matter of one club, say a 5 iron, being less lofted on your current set. Companies, namely Taylormade right now, like to de-loft irons relative to other companies so their 5 iron is "longer" even though it's more like a 4 iron. BUYER BEWARE!

    • Would You Rather Number 72:   Would you rather have a legitimate 5 handicap but every round you play the other 3 people in your foursome are playing off a 20. Or Would you rather have a legitimate 10 handicap but every round you play the other 3 people in your foursome are scratch or better.  Either way, I'd rather play with friends who play quickly.   Having said that,  I'd take the second option and play with lower handicap players.  Attitude and pace of play aside, I enjoy watching better players hit beautiful shots that can only make me dream.
    • I didn’t think of the non conforming aspect.  As for the strict following of the rules up until now we play “by the rules” in a relaxed manner. We have never held another accountable for their actions. Until yesterday I can’t tell you of an instant that something like this happen or even a disagreement. The guys that play every week told me they really thought he was joking at first when he told me he wasn’t paying me.  As of 30 minutes ago one of other members in the golf group text message who wasn’t even at the course yesterday removed him from the group. The group message has about 30 guys from the club that we just use to know who’s playing and what time. The text message doesn’t have any club employees it doesn’t have anything to do with scheduling tee times.  A couple guys some who were there and some who were had a private conversation thought it was bs and don’t want the drama. They all said it was bs each one said didn’t care since most sundays my daughter is with us as well as other players kids.
    • @wwk3I can send you something if you give me a way to contact you.  I'd rather not just throw it out in public... @scott61 I can send you something - how do I get your email? @Bnoble I use python to pull access codes, and c#/.Net to do the rest.  I could probably get you what you need.  Let me know how to get in touch with you and I'll see what I can do... @blagbogsLet me know how to get in touch with you directly via email. @WhirlwindLet me know how to get in touch - there is an easier way...

    • This was something that came to mind as well. Would it be, if it didn't conform then it could not be a 15th club?
