The new course I've been playing a lot recently has this one hole, par 3 170yds that usually plays 160ish.  It has a beautiful view of Mt. Baker (Washington state) in the background, but it has to have a ton of gophers running around stealing the balls.  4 out of maybe 6 or 7 times I have played this hole, I lost my ball.

Ok, the hole, sand trap is short right of green, slopes off the back of green but has a curb for the cart path to stop balls, then goes uphill a bit but sliding down to the left.  The right side is relatively flat with OB far right and  a few trees line the cart path about 15 yards off the green.  Left of green is OB.

All my lost balls were the right distance (I'm fairly sure) but a little right of the green.  They couldn't have been OB, maybe rolled down the hill, but I checked everywhere.  My only conclusion is that gophers are stealing my ball or something is.  It's ridiculous, they were decent shots, just a little push and I never find my ball.  The only times I have found my ball is when I hit short of the green or if I hit the green.  I don't understand it.  They just disappear.  It's those darn gophers!

Anyone else have any experiences like this?

Correct me if I'm wrong Sandy, but if I kill all the golfers, they're gonna lock me up and throw away the key...

Hole No. 11 at Shuksan, I presume?  Can't think of another Whatcom County hole that fits the description.

Lesson here: stop hitting it right of the green
