How many clubs do you play with?

13. In the market for a gap wedge but haven't found the right one yet.

13. My signature below shows 14, but the Titleist Hybrid is in permanent time-out. I struggled to hit it and kept it in the bag. There were a few times that I thought I should give it a try again and the results were less than ideal. I figured that taking it out of the bag would eliminate that temptation to attempt a shot that had too high of a chance of failure. Besides the gap between that club and my 3 Hybrid is only about 5 yards when I hit them both well. I will begin auditioning it's replacement soon and the number will climb back to 14.

The funny thing is, I could play my Wednesday night round with 7. Driver, 3 Hybrid, 7 Iron, 9 Iron, PW, GW and putter. It's a shorter 31 par. The longest 4 is 325 yards (Driver/Wedge). There are two long 3's at 220 each (3 Hybrid). The rest of the 3's range from 115-140 (9I-GW). The 7 Iron is only there if I have a bad miss-hit on one of the 4's.

12 or 13. I carry, and weight is of the essence. I don't hit a lot of 4 irons or 60* wedges, so these often stay in the car.

Actually that is very good advice. As I have started playing a few months ago as well, I have no use for my driver right now and the longest iron I can hit is a 6 iron.

14. I'm looking at adding a 5 wood and changing my wedge configuration from its current 46-52-56-60 to 46-52-58 but money's being a problem here.

I carry 14, but rarely use all of them in a round. That's when you know you've played a good course, when you hit every club in your bag.

I carry 14 but only play with 12 when it gets down to it and the past couple weeks have been thinking about leaving them out of my bag. I have a 60* that I’m just too inconsistent with to count on except when practicing and a 3h that isn’t living up to expectations. Neither one enters my mind when it counts so its probably going to be my discard bag for them.

What, no option for more than 14?!? Hahaha.. I know, 14 is the USGA and R and A limit..

But, I do play with my full set as I haven't played a tournament in a few years.. I use my Driver, 3 wood, 1-PW, 2 utility Wedges and my putter.

Funny. Since I started this thread, I've completely ditched the 5W and added both a 16 deg Ping G5 hybrid and an Adams 50 deg GW.

So I'm back up to 14 - and using them all.

I played for years with 12: Driver, 3w, 5w, 3-9i, PW, Putter. I recently replaced the 5w (which I didn't use much) with a 2-hybrid and added a 3-hybrid and a SW, so now I'm up to the standard 14.
