Unfortunately, I'm at work for a while yet. doh! My Cobra m-speed 3-wood and Ogio Grom (thanks to the review here) are sitting on my front porch even as I type this. Oh, and a introductory pack of the new Top-Flite D2 which I've been interested in trying too. I might have to bug out a little early and hit the range today.

Enjoy! I've the Ogio Edge model.... did they discontinue that one? But I like mine. I like the design. Hope you got to play yesterday - here in CT it was gorgeous! I may detour on the way home today....

Not sure about the Edge model, there's so many I can't remember what all they have. The Grom is an amazing bag though. I'm extremely impressed with the overall quality of the thing. I examined it pretty closely and all the stitching is perfect, it's extremely comfortable to carry & I love the Woode top.

My wife and I went to hit some balls last night. The Cobra 3-wood with offset is a total slice-proofer. What would have been a wicked slice swing with my old 3wood produces a nice little fade shot and it doesn't take much effort at all to produce a draw. I'm glad I went with the offset model.

Also, The Golf Warehouse is great to do business with. No complaints at all.

how do you like the new bag. I am looking for a new lightweight carry bag. I am debating between the Grom, the Callaway STT and a couple of sun mountain ones.

What's in the bag:

I'm not entirely sure the Grom would be considered light weight. I think it weighs almost six pounds, but I'm over 350 so a couple pounds here & there isn't likely to break me. Other than that though, I couldn't possibly be more impressed with the bag. I'm a mechanical designer and really appreciate the little design features they include like the zipperless ball pocket and the walking accessible beverage holder. There's an excellent review on this site for the Grom if you haven't seen it yet.

I was really thinking about getting one of those bags this year...I was also impressed with them. First reading about the zipperless pocket and all, i was sceptical about it...but after seeing one in person, it is definately one of the better bags I have seen. Well, enjoy!!!

    • Day 129: 5/4/24 Stack training but could not certify my warmup speed. Dealing with a pulled neck muscle. Chips and pitches at a local course for about 15 minutes.
    • Typically less than 50. I find this can be affected by the "CART" signs on a given course. I don't like taking my rangefinder out of the cart and carrying it around to the green. I am very fearful I will leave it somewhere.
    • First ever holed out greenside bunker shot! It's crazy it took this long to finally get one during a round, but the cold streak is officially over. Hole 6 on the Palmer Course at PGAN. I hit my driver like 225 into a really stiff wind, then worm burned a hybrid into the bunker. I was about I dunno, 40-45 feet away. Birdie! Let's go! The red Xs the approximate location of each shot.  Really fun!!
    • Day 23: Rained all day, so no ball hitting. Worked indoors on top of the backswing feel, and also putted around the living room working on bead.
    • Played Four Oaks in Dracut today going back to the 2 man scramble match play format. My brother and I shot a team 81 winning 3 and 2. Had so many good shots today using a more centered turn. Seems to have really iginited my golf game. We'll see if I can keep it going.
