Have read Moe Norman used palm grip to keep hands quiet. Now i am trying only right hand palm grip and cannot conclude yet full result. But i can say that the idea is not so bad. The left hand grip pretty normal and more/less in fingers. I could certainly benefit quieter hands esp during the short game as  i think since long distance is not the object as much as direction and control.  Anyone else try this 'palm is calm' idea?

Common myth. He switched to it later in life but earlier, when he was playing and doing most of his winning, he gripped the club in the fingers similarly to others. Only after he got involved with Natural Golf did he get persuaded to switch to the palmy grip.

With short game shots you'd almost want the club MORE in the fingers to enhance your feel for the clubhead.

ive found that a palmy grip when chipping/putting gives me superior feel and distance control,...its also more comfortable as i sufer from palmar psoriasis which happens to occur in most of the places i wish to hold the club, so a pamly grip for chipping and putting alleviats the pain somewhat

for anything other than a chip i use a finger grip, much more clubhead control and swing control
