All of a sudden hitting thin

Trying to get my golf game back after breaking a wrist and an ankle 6 months apart. This year I joined a club and have been playing a lot more. The past few weeks I have seen great improvement and my irons have been almost flawless. Until yesterday. I got out for a round and all of a sudden I am hitting all my irons thin. I tried to think through everything I was doing and I just couldn't straighten it out.

What causes this? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Usually for me, when I look up too quick (trying to see where the balls going), it leads to standing up a fraction too early resulting in thinned shots.  It goes away as soon as I concentrate on trying to see the ball being hit rather than trying to see where the ball is going, i.e., "keep your head down".

You could also be pulling your left are in during impact (chicken wing).

Yeah, it's almost never anything else: people who thin the ball are tired of hitting the ball fat or feel fat contact coming, so they pull their elbows apart.
