I played so-so today, but on the 2nd to last shot of the round, i thought about keeping pressure on my left leg more in the downswing, so i can get to the left side, i was hitting some big push fades, hanging back to much. So i had about 148 to the middle of the green. pretty good wind out of the right, i pull my 145, thinking a slight draw would fly to the back pin placement. in the backswing i feel like my weight is more on my left leg and keeping it flexed. I did this, and i just flushed the iron shot, started out 5' right of the pin and drawing back, i though this was just perfect, it would be just short of the pin or next to the pin. It hits the cart path behind the green. I hit my 145 club, 165 yards. Given i had a good wind out of the right and hit a slight draw, but to overhit by 20 yards. I think i found out that i was mishitting my irons for a long time. This shot did fly a bit lower, on a more boring trajectory. I rarely hit a shot that flush, if that is what a flushed iron felt like.

So i end up over the practice green, and i do the same with my wedge shot back on the green, flush that iron shot. I'm thinking this might be my swing though to consistancy.

So if your hitting some big pushes, or maybe top a shot, thinking more of keeping your left knee flexed and having your weight more on your left leg during the backswing.

Yep, its shocking how much you think your doing something in the swing when you actually don't. I really had to emphasize this feeling in the backswing, because it the downswing is really fast and i need to set this up early for me. If i am at the top of the swing, and try to gain the flex/pressure in the left leg, its to late for me and the timing is to hard to get right the arms.
