Well, I can't say that I would choose any different.  I don't think there is any way I would leave my expecting wife to go away and play golf.  It is a major, but family is family.  I figure this was a no-brainer as hard as it may have been.  Here is a quote from

Quote:
"After winning it's certainly a little bit harder to not go," Simpson told reporters at the Travelers Championship . "But in the grand scheme of life, it's a decision I know I'll always be happy I made."

Would any of you guys choose to play?

They were mentioning it on Sunday after Webb won, that he was planning on skipping the British Open anyway cuz his wife's due date is too close to the tournament date.

I applaud him for not changing those plans just cuz he won the US Open. He understands what's truly important.

Dummy needs to learn to read a calendar - just go back nine months from early December or late November. ;-)

Should be easy for a Christian. They only fornicate to procreate.

I think it's fine that he's skipping the Open... it's a long way to go and he'll have other opportunities to play it... as important as golf is for these guys, family should come first.

If that the case then the Simpsons are going to have 20 kids.  Webb's wife is hot!  I give Webb credit for still being able to focus on golf with something like that to go home to.

Youd think that if you were trying to have a baby that youd plan it so that the birth was during the winter but if the Simpsons are as religious as it sounds like they are, Im sure they dont believe in birth control and this baby was a little bit of an oops.

    • Day 314 - Putting some things together. Better grip/setup, fuller backswing, better finishing position. Filmed some swings, happy with the progress.
    • Day 130: did a stack session.
    • Day 206 (24 Nov 24)  - An easy session with the 54deg wedge and hard foam balls / one simple goal - distance control thru backswing length while not decelerating.  Had a playing partner comment they noticed me decelerating on a couple short wedge shots in last round.  Hit from distances from close to 40yds down to 20.
    • Musgrove Mill hole #15 was converted to a par 3 after Hurricane Helene. Today, I had 145 from the tee which is a perfect 9-iron for me. I aimed just right of the hole and pulled it a few feet. Clanked off the stick down into the hole and ricocheted out of the hole 13’ away. Drained the putt for a birdie after repairing the hole which was damaged . Not sure if it would have counted as a HIO, but I was pretty excited!
    • Day 55 - 2024-11-24 Did five levels of Operation 36 on GSPro (different courses). 🙂 Was -4 from 200 yards (32) intentionally laying up on each hole (i.e. not hitting a 5I or something). Shot… 22, 24, 26 from 25, 50, and 100 yards. I forget my 150-yard score, but obviously it was < 36. Putting was odd… (and I did it with the wedge or a 7I or whatever was in my hand).
