  1. 1. Are the Olympics as important as a Major?

    • Yes- The Olympics are the higest level of sport there is.

    • No- Only Majors should be counted when it comes to deciding the best. Olympic Gold should be completely seperate from a golfers Pro career.

Im going to say no simply because there is much better competition at a major and there is more history.  Dont get me wrong, an olympic gold medal would be a great thing to have in my trophy case but if I could only have one, Id take a major trophy over an olympic medal any day.

One test would be which of this year's event winners Majors or Olympics are you likely to be able to recall in 2, 5,10,years. My guess is that we are more likely to remember who won the Masters. Granted it is partly because the past winners get mentioned at each years event. I think winning a major will have a much longer effect on a winners career and marketability as well. That certainly seems to be the case with Tennis.
