I'm not buying any of the adjustable drivers out there.  Period.  Call me a stiff.  I just think we go too far with all of the equipment tweaks.  You adjust the driver because your slicing the ball.  Ok.  You adjust it again because now your drawing the ball.  Ok.

If you do, you're using it wrong.

In my bag:

"Yawn.  Just learn to the hit driver correctly and you dont need anything adjustable."

Yeah, you're right. Because golf clubs that fit a golfer 5' 10" are the same ones for golfer like me at 6' 3". Brilliant......

Glad to see PING finally make the jump, The I20 driver seems to be a hit so hopefully this one is just if not better than it's counterparts

Ping Anser 2 Classic

Some updated info from 2nd Swing Golf

ping-anser-driver-2.jpg

Ping’s first adjustable driver, the Anser Driver, made its PGA Tour debut last week at the John Deere Classic. Thus fa rPing has not released an adjustable driver, focusing more on their fitting and custom-to-order process. A few years behind much of the golf market, Ping will be answering back to this golf trend of late in mid-to-late August with the Anser’s release.

The Ping Anser Driver features a 460cc Titanium head and an adjustable hosel, which allows for up to .5-degrees of loft-adjustability in either direction from the neutral position. This will make it possible for players to optimize their distance and carry by adjusting the loft to fit their swing tendencies; another advantage to this feature is that you can change your driver settings over time, as your swing developes.

The Anser Driver also features a matte black finish that cuts down on glare, much like Ping’s i20 series metals and hybrids, giving the golf market a much-needed alternative to the matte white finishes dominating currently.

THE TABLE BELOW lists all the club models, lofts and shaft options that will be available at 2nd Swing in the Ping Anser Series Metals this August

    • Day 29: 1/8/2025 Worked on my priority piece in the mirror several times today. I've gone back to having a 7 iron and a mirror right outside my office. Every time I enter or leave I can get a couple of minutes of work on the swing.
    • Day 100 - 2025-01-08 Hit balls for twenty minutes before I put Natalie through an Operation 36 at 200 yards without benefit of a driver. And putting on a sim is always a bit wonky.
    • Day 7 - Green-side work for 45 minutes. Start line with string putting. Speed control on 3-4' putts with phantom hole. Sh%tty lie chip practice.
    • I don't follow the LIV tour so for starters somebody would have to tell me that they are coming. Even if tickets were free I probably wouldn't go. I'm just not interested.  I've been to a fair amount of PGA Tour Tournaments in my life. I've even attended two US Opens... One men's, and one women's. I've been to college and high school tournaments as well.  I'd actually be more interested in attending a Korn Ferry Tournament or an Epson Tour Tournament. Which reminds me the Nationwide Chlidren's Hospital Championship in September is right down the street. I should get tickets.
    • LIV golf was pretty close to me in 2023, at the same course that hosted the 2023 Senior PGA.  I didn't go to either one.  I do know a few people who went to the LIV event, and they said it was pretty well attended and pretty well run.  If I had free tickets, I might show up, but I'd probably have to drive 10 miles to park to get a shuttle to come back to within 5 miles of my house.
