The shaft isnt suppose to flex like that till after i hit the ball no wonder i dont have any power. any pointers.  i video my 18 today every tee shot and second shot i ll upload a couple if i can figure out how or if i can.

that has nothing to do with your shaft or whats wrong with your swing.  Thats an illusion created by the way the camera reads and creates the image(top to bottom)  Theres been several threads here with people thinking the same as you.
The basics of it is that your club is moving faster than the camera can read so by the time the "image" of the clubhead has been made, the shaft appears bent.
Think about the physics of it.  If your path is coming down to the ball..too weak of a shaft would be bending skyward because it would be weaker than the resistance your swing creates.  If it were too stiff..it would just be straight with no bend at all ;)

My philosophy on golf "We're not doing rocket science, here."

Your lower body should be in a different position than it is at this point in the swing, and as a result your upper body parts would be in different locations as well. That's one of the reasons why you don't have power. I know it's just one image, but it looks like an armsy swing. Compare that point in your swing with some pros at the same point in theirs and you should see some differences.

thanks for the info i do have a armzy swing upper body overload. recently watched some videos on youtube on downswing sequence. i am doing almost everything wrong. this was a video from my phone and i stopped the video on my down swing and took a picture of it with my brothers phone and messages it to me so you can see the shaft bending because im swinging to much with my arms and upper body i love this game and this site is great so much info but i still need to get a couple of lesson from a pro. thanks guys. as we speak im downloading these videos on youtube so i can post them later get more feedback and pointers. i watched shawn clement with the best downswing weightshift #1 most popular teacher on youtube. also watched a couple more great exercise to teach me a better downswing.

one and a half hours guys british open coverage on espn. ol yeah go tiger, bubba, tom watson, rory, daly, and my favorite rickie fowler.

allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll thanks i see now.  tiger has some crazy flex lol.  well that puts me at ease but my swing is still messed up glad i watched those downswing videos going to practice them tomorrow.  call around see about some lesson to help also.

Woot - British Open!

Disclaimor - I am no instructor and I'm only telling you the things that helped me . . .

Your left wrist is cupped.and your right elbow is away from your body in the photo you posted.  If you can imagine . .if that right elbow was tucked into your body, your left wrist would be pointing more to the target, your knees would have better flex and your hips firing by this point.  Some people like to tuck the right elbow in the downswing . .I'm conservative and keep it close in the backswing and then it's sort of automatically tucked in the downswing.  I was just watching a youtube video of Tiger and Butch Harmon . .where he calls this move "the Ole Swing"  . . .but definitely go for a less extreme version of it.

thank you i appreciate it will be working on changing my entire swing im a upperbody arm swinger got to get to the point were my swing starts from the ground up. thanks again.
