I cast in my golf swing!!! It is not casting straight from the top. It is just a slow steady early release of my hands consequently making my club pass my hands before I hit the ball. This makes me hit all kinds of fat shots and other kinds. Please help!!!!! I don't want any drills to stop. I just want to know why I would be doing something like that.

Wait, you're an 8, and you cast and hit fat? You should be teaching us how to hit down with weight forward and hands ahead.

First you need to understand the Power Accumulators.  If you are casting - you are losing power accumulator #1 and #2 - early in the swing.

The biggest issue I see - is that often times golfers do no understand how their arms and hands should operate in sequence to power the golf swing.  One thing you need to monitor is that you have proper wrist hinge.  But first, you need to understand how your arms operate in the golf swing.

Once you have the proper placement of your right and left arms... Then you need to understand how to properly hinge your wrist.  Here is a pretty good golf video that helped me understand what the hands should do during the golf swing.  I hope it helps you as it helped me:

Combine the arms and hands together, and you should be able to get in a much better position - which in turn will help you eliminate your flipping or losing power accumulator #1 and #2.  These are critical components to making a solid swing - without losing power.

    • I agree with @dennyjones, a suspension of some meaningful duration would be better than getting bounced from the Tour. They might consider experimenting each week. It might generate a bit of interest. I like the idea of a visible shot clock. If a player and their caddy can’t decide on a strategy and pull the trigger in XX seconds (30? 45? 60?), one stroke penalty. Give each player 2 resets a round. The clock starts when the last player to hit’s ball stops moving. Other pace ideas could be used every couple events until a consensus is reached to adopt or ditch an idea.
