Why the hate against arguably the best tennis player ever (top 5 at absolute worst) and by all accounts a good person? Are you trolling about tennis now? Whoever you are you suck at golf, being a tennis fan,  and could you please just go away.

You really are a miserable POS, aren't you?

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Well done Murray!

He may be a Scot, but 1) he didn't play in a kilt and 2) as I understand it he's from Oxford.  Need I say more ....

I would only have taken 50:1 odds.  Unbelievable except that he's been showing flashes of brilliance and toughness lately.  Maybe 50:1 was too long .....

Patrick the OP is probably of Irish ancestry so you must forgive.  When was the last time an Irishman won anything important in tennis?

(I'm mostly a Paddy myself, yet I celebrate the Scottish victory.  We're all Celts anyway).

He was a pupil at the school during the Dublane disaster and he was born and brought up there. I'm Scottish and my father is Scottish but apart from that I'm as Irish as Shamrock. I'm also a celt and a Celtic Fan. Andy Murray is definitely not a Celtic fan.:-D

Yes I read that about his being from Dunblane and how that affected him personally.

I'm so used to Brits not having the toughness to make it at the highest level at Wimbledon (following for 40 years or so) that it's hard to believe that one of them can hang tough against as great a player as Federer.  Mind you Federer made far too many unforced errors towards the end of the match, which is most unlike him of course.

If you'd been a Padraig I'd have had a better idea ......
