Advancement in Golf Club Technology Question

I am presently playing a 2007 set of Cleveland CG4 Tour Irons.I reshafted the clubs awhile back removing the Action Lite Tour stiff shafts that came in them and replaced them with True Temper TT Lite XL shafts which I cut to a supposedly senior flex according to the trimming instructions.It took me a while to get used to the clubs but I did fine with them.The problem I now have (which was also present with the previous shafts) is that I am still hitting the irons too low.I knew they were both mid-kick point shafts before reshafting.I did a gain better feel and also some of my distance back.I am now looking at either reshafting with a low kickpoint shaft such as the Dynalite Gold XP or one of the low kickpoint FST shafts.I am also considering just getting a new set of irons.I was previously looking at the Cleveland CG16s or CG16 Tours.However those come with a a mid-kick point shaft as well.I was in a store the other day and noticed a set of Mizuno JXP 800s which come with the Dynalite Gold XP shaft already installed.

Has technology in golf equipment advanced that much in the last 5 years that it would be more worthwhile for me to get a new set of irons as opposed to reshafting the present CG4 Tour irons with a  low kickpoint shaft to gain a higher trajectory?

My driver swingspeed is around 90 to 93.I usually hit my 7 iron 145 to 150 yards (33.5 to 34 degrees loft).
