Hi, I haven't been golfing that long. I first picked up a club and played for the first time this year in March. For my first time ever playing the game, I thought I did awesome so I went out and got a set of clubs.

I bought a R11 Driver, R11 3 Wood, R11s 5 Wood. I'm having a hard time hitting my driver, I keep pushing it to the left same for my 3 & 5 wood. Now, With my 2, 3 & 4 Hybrid I hit them clean and FAR, Longest drive with my 2 Hybrid is 290yrds and Straight.

Is there any tips someone can give me that would help? I don't even use my driver anymore because of the yardage I get with my 2 hybrid.

Thank you!

Rob D =)

I average around 250/260 with my 2 hybrid. The 290yrds was the ideal day for golf. If all days were like that I would, But I feel i'm cheating myself by not using my driver, 3 & 5 wood's. If I get 250/260 average yardage for that, I know I can average 280+ with my driver.

I`m a lefty with an R11...I was told that the sweet spot is relatively high on the club face and a bit towards the toe.  Hitting it there might help promote a draw more.

The club can also be adjusted to close the face a bit which might help if you are hitting it left.

Thanks MEfree, I have adjusted it when I went to the range. I'd hit 20 balls, Make another adjusted then try again to see what works for me. But the sweet spot bring higher and more towards the toe, I'll try that! Thanks again.

I'm a lefty, and I also struggle with pushing my longer clubs to the left.

I've found that this occurs because I'm not getting the clubface through quickly enough relative to my hips, so it end up lagging behind in my swing.

I've spent some time concentrating on being quicker with my hands, and now I'm generally starting the ball off on the right path.  Now if I could only cure that slice...
