Cameron Newport 1.5

My local golf shop has a scotty newport 1.5 2002 model used in Good condition with headcover for $130. I really liked the way it rolled and am considering a purchase.

Is this a fair price for this putter?

That is a good price if it is indeed in good condition. If you don't like it, you can get your money back on ebay.

They have a older studio newport there that is beat up pretty good and has a sticker price of 75, but it is very negotiable. I am considering trying to bring them to 60 bucks and send it off to be restored. Anyone know how to judge if a club is too beat up to be restored?

Pretty much anything is not too beat up to be restored by Cameron's shop.

I'd love to find a $75 Scotty just so I could justify sending it back and getting those Circle T and $ stamps and a Custom Shop grip/headcover.

The condition of the club is fair for the $75 one, its obviously been someones gamer for a few years and has multiple scratches on it which concern me with its restorability.

The studio 1.5 is in great condition.

My understanding is the Custom Shop will not put a Circle T on any putter you send in (unless it was/is a legitimate tour-used putter).

Talking about Cameron's, I have a Laguna Mid-Slant in Pro-Plat that is in serious need of work -- I priced it out on scottycameron.com, and the total was $290 (!), which is more than I paid for my new Newport 2

idk thats a tough one... if u dont feel like dishin out the money to get the older one restored than id say deff get the new one, $130 is not bad at all! but i personally would think about dishin out a lil xtra to get it to the custom shop. but thats just my $.02

I'd buy it. Make sure to ask about the original head cover. If they don't have it try to get them to throw in a new one. can't hurt to ask and the are worth about $20

$175 is about the max with a head cover.

Get those, and use those headcovers boys and girls. A gamer doesn't have to get trashed

Well I loved the Newport Beach Pro Platnium which was $75, but it was too dented to restore according to the shop owner (who has restored before).

Why can't people use headcovers :(
