My last post on this subject.

Wie really needs to improve her short game, namely putting. She has the length to compete.

Here is an article summarizing why she is a Sponsor's favorite:

I'm a big fan of Michelle and can't wait for her to get into the age, that I can have her in my wet dreams without embarassment...

That's awesome!

In anycase, this thread is a bit old, but yeah, like the majority have agreed upon, these dudes need to make a living, and playing in each and every tournament they can becuase they're struggling on the money list is what they need to do. It's like the old foggies taking up spots in the Masters.

I can't believe all the gnashing of teeth for all of those poor guys trying to make a living on tour, playing a f*#%ing game, because 1 woman takes one sponsor's exemption in one tournament. Especially, when it's the "We're not good enough to play in The Open Championship, B.C. Championship."

It's just not that big of a deal.

Play better and stop crying about it.

One thing, I dont understand.

I know I'm late on this topic, but I couldn't resist adding my two cents worth.

Personally, I have no joy watching some of the 'hackers' that qualify for the mens tournament. They should be embarrassed with some of the scores they bring in. The association should address this matter before it turns many off golf. So if I had the powers to change golf I would bring it all under one umbrella where men and women could compete. If women qualify, well and good. From my own short experience playing golf, I started to be competitive with lower handicapp players only because I added distance to my game. Wie is long off the tees than many of the men so she stands a good chance of beating many of them. Annika would definitely grab every opportunity to compete with the men if she was long off the tees.

    • No. If there was a place no closer to the hole that afforded some relief, you could have dropped there. If you were truly as far away from the hole as you could, in the "back" of the bunker, then… your options were basically to play it as it lies (lied? lay?) or take the penalty stroke and drop behind the bunker (keeping the point where the ball was between your drop and the hole).
    • Day 121 - Had a tournament today, not my best. I was hitting everything off the heel.
    • Day 4 (5 May 24) - mirror work focused on “feel of weight” transfer onto lead foot.  Continued work to develop trust in lead foot being able to handle full weight pressure…
    • Ok, so I’m still confused here. Are you saying I could have used the only available Spot in the bunker even though it was 6-7 feet closer to the hole?
    • Yes. If you choose to take the ball out of the bunker instead of taking maximum available relief… it costs a stroke.
