I don't consider myself brand loyal, but when in doubt I will lean toward Callaway because of how happy I am with their products and customer service thus far. There are brands out there that I don't particularly care for however and they're Cobra, Cleveland, and Ping.

I am fiercely, blindly brand-loyal to Mizuno. Ive tried various other clubs in the past (used to be a diehard Titleist guy, gave Ping a shot, dabbled with Callaway) but I always come back to Mizuno. There is nothing like the feel of Mizuno irons and the rest of the clubs they make are pretty sweet too.
Id probably play Mizuno golfballs if they were available here in the states. As it stands, I would have to order them from Japan and for what it would cost, its just not worth it.
For now, I'll play Bridgestones.
I wish they made Mizuno golf shoes in my size (size 12) but the biggest size I have ever found online is a 10 and there is no way my big ole feet are going to fit comfortable in a 10.

Brand loyalties: Cobra, then Mizuno

As a new golfer I find myself impressed with Cobra's products. My affinity for Cobra started last year when I tested out four drivers at the range, and found the Cobra felt the best when I was swinging.

I really like the feel of Cobra's hybrids, and are my favorite clubs in the bag. I also bought a used set of Cobra's hybrid-irons, but not sure if they are the right length or weight for me, as I tend to mishit with them a lot. But I blame the injun for the mishits rather than the arrow (or bow).

I tested some Mizuno blades a while back and was impressed with the feel. Whenever I go for a new iron set, if I don't like what Cobra offers at the time then I may try a Mizuno set. I plan to get a proper club fitting when I purchase a new set of clubs.

I bought Nike driver and 4-wood recently since I was having slice problems and wanted to see if their square-shaped clubs could help minimize the slice issue. The clubs perform OK but nothing special to make we switch brand loyalties.

2011 Goals:
* Improve club-head speed to 90 mph with the driver
* Ensure increased speed does not compromise accuracy
* Prevent overextending on the back-swing (left-arm is bending too much at the top)
* Relax arms initially at address ( too tense)* Play more full rounds (failed from 2010)

I tend to be loyal to Wilson, more for sentimental reasons than anything else. My grandfather has several sets of their irons that go back to the 1950s. I've always loved their blade designs. My first pro line irons were a set of used FG-17s. Wonderful clubs. Their new line of Staff irons are very good. I tried a set of Ci6 irons and was very impressed.

I haven't tried any Staff woods since the laminated maple ones they made in the 1970s and early 1980s.

i'd say i'm partially brand loyal...i'll play any ball, srixon z, prov, taylormade black...but when it comes to my irons i like pings, woods, driver and wedges, as you see in my sig are cleveland...and as for putters...i'll be hitting an odyssey until someone shows with great difference there's better out there. (at least for my game)

Footjoy for gloves and shoes. Period.

As for the other stuff, I will look and try out Callaway items first simply because I have dealt with their customer service and it is exceptional and they will back every product they put out there. If I can find a Callaway brand item that I like and suits my game, I'll go with it first.

My PING driver was won in a golf tourney...fairway woods are hand-me-downs. Irons were bought off Ebay and I love them.

Wedges...I had vokey before and went with those again, but if I had to replace my wedges, I'd give the Callaways a decent look.

So, I don't know if I'm brand loyal, but I'm brand-preferred I'd say .

Brand loyal? Not at all.

I do tend to stick with given brands for a specific use but will change from time to time. Case in point; I've carried a Callaway driver since I was 10 or 11 years-old and still do. The FT-5 works well for me and I don't expect anything different from the FT-9 (or whatever) when I decide to get a new one. During my testing, I wasn't able to find anything else that offered a noticeable improvement when I bought the FT-5 so I stuck w/Callaway (again). On the flip side, I got PING irons at about the same time (10-11 years-old) and made the switch to Titleist irons last fall. I also switched from a Titleist golf ball to a Bridgestone this year. I'd hit the Titleist for over 20 years.

Personally I don't think that brand loyalty gets you anywhere UNLESS, you happen to get a paycheck from Titleist, Callaway or whoever. I'll use the equipment that I find works the best for me regardless what name is stamped on the sole plate.

I never was brand loyal...I usually would try to have a similar Driver and 3 wood, and similar irons and wedges, but now I'm loyal to Taylormade, have been for about 2 1/2 years....they just seem to fit my game, the entire set I'm using right now probably won't change for a while...I've finally got everything how I want it fitted and set up. I may switch back to a Scotty Cameron putter though. The itsy bitsy monza spider is the best putter I've personally used on smooth fast greens, but on bumpy or slower greens, I put better with my cameron...

I used to be unconditionally brand loyal to Nike based on that is all the apparel and shoes I would use for playing bball...but now it seems that I have hopped onto Taylor Made. I love my R7 irons, and I just picked up the '09 Burner and 5 wood...I think I will be sticking to this set-up for awhile. But I agree with everyone that you should get what works, for me personally though I really dig the matching set, now it is a matter of fixing the swing...looking into more lessons and perhaps a playing lesson to help with my course management. Off the tee I am better, hitting 11 out of 14 fairways on Monday, but my 2nd and 3rd shots are killing me...such is life such is golf...

I'm loyal to Nike, though not blindly rabid (like my signature might suggest ) . I definitely think that most all manufacturers today make high quality products. There are annoyances that I have with most all manufacturers though, and none of them are perfect.

When buying all of my equipment, I went in with an open mind even though I favored Nike somewhat. For example, I went with the Titleist Vokey and with the Oddessy putter, though I liked the SV and VR wedges and some of the Unitized putters. I was also extremely close to getting the Ping G10 or Rapture V2 instead of my Dymo Str8-Fit.

I'll put it like this - though the majority of my bag is Nike, I could easily see myself becoming a big time **** when it comes to buying and keeping different makes and models of clubs and swapping them in and out of the bag regularly!

Not really. I play a lot of different brands. I just use what works for me.

I do find myself rooting for Brian Gay more though. I seem to like the idea of a Mizuno guy winning.

I don't see myself changing irons anytime soon.

Not anymore. I used to be all Callaway, but over the last year I only have my Callaway Steelhead Fairways left in the bag. They won't be coming out anytime soon(I actually have duplicates in an upstairs closet). I used Titleist 990 irons many years ago and finally found a like new set to put back in my bag. I play a Cleveland XLS driver because out of 8 different drivers I tested, I was #1 for me. My Cleveland Classic #1 is better than my old Ping Anser. My early Father's Day gift was a set of matching Slazenger wedges(52,56,60) and they rock. I have no problem with anyone that is a single brander, but I now play the clubs that work for me;regardless of manufacturer.

In my  Warbird Hot stand bag:

 NP2 3H,  DCI 990 4-PW,  Forged + 54/12,  RAC 58/8,

Classic #1,  NXT Tour or  Burner TP

I would like to be brand loyal, seeing as Nike is my favorite brand. However sometimes its just not as economical as i'd like it to be. I usually just go with what I like the most and with what comes at the price that I would like to pay. If the Nike's price is right then I will buy it, but I won't go out of my way to get it. I hope that made sense.

Not brand loyal, but definitely partial:

Drivers: Love Clevelands, though that 9015 Prototype by Adams is winking at me
Woods: I only use a three wood, and have been partial to Callaway for sometime, though Pings wink at me.
Irons: Mizuno, always wanted mizuno, finally have some, and in sheer awe I don't plan on replacing.
Wedges: Cleveland, though strongly considering vokeys lately
Putter: Yes!; not too loyal, but a club I like to not change too often.

Driver: Cleveland HiBore XLS 9.5*, Fit-On Red Shaft
3 Wood: Callaway Big Bertha 16*
Hybrid: HiBore 22*
Irons: Mizuno MX-25 4-PW, 2* Flat
Wedges: CG11 50* (2*Flat),54*(1*Flat),58*(1*Flat) Low Bounce AllPutter: Yes! DiannaBall of Choice: Srixon AD333, Wilson ZIP, TF Gamer

I am pretty much brand loyal I try to stick with Callaway for my driver/woods/irons. I like the feel of them and they seem to give me the most success. For my putter I use an Odyssee putter that I really like. Balls I like Titlelist..so I guess I am sorta brand loyal, but not totally. :)
