My Callaway BB 3w has a uniflex steel shaft, and last night I tried a Ping G5 3w with a Aldila Reg shaft ( that green one ).
And my word, the Ping is a weapon of mass destruction !!

I was hitting 10 balls with the BB and 10 with the G5, the BB was slicing all over the place, the Ping was rocketing like an exorcet missile straight down the middle !! ( tried not to hit Tiger Woods' Lexus MPV in the process )

Is this down to the shaft ?

steel shafts v. graphite is a huge difference in woods and drivers...so yeah, probably.

I love the g5 series. some of the best woods out on the market IMO.
