Equipment, Setup, Finish, Balance, and Relax. All equal in importance and all dependent on each other. They are the cornerstones of a good golf swing.

Thanks Ringer. Love the "start well" video. Too often I'm doomed before I even start my swing becuase I'm uncomfortable, out of balance, etc. Need to work on establishing a solid starting position and this will help.

If you start out of balance, your body will move into balance when you take the club back and now you have to do something to compensate and get back to the ball.

I think I'm finally getting this through my thick head!!

I also realized that, after hitting my driver off the heel fairly often earlier this year that I was actually TOO FAR from the ball at setup. I initially figured..."well I'm hitting off the heel I must be too close." As I moved further and further away at set up, the heel shots got worse because I was lunging towards the ball on the downswing to compensate. It's the simple things I tell ya.
