hello I'm new here! Just had a quick question.. I play off a 11 or 12 handicap And am in high school. I'm playing some old mizuno mx 25s.. I have a chance to get almost brand new Taylormade mc irons for a steal from my uncle.. The downfall is he lives in florida so i cant hit them. Anyone think I would be able to make good contact and play them? My high school 9 hole average last year was a 41.74 if that helps, thanks!!

I played to a similar handicap with those irons and had no issues. Make sure that the shafts fit your swing before you get them though.

The shafts are the same as I have in my clubs right now. I think they are dynamic gold s300? I normally play that shaft. im also looking into the kbs tour c-taper tho. Thanks!

If you have pretty solid ball striking with your irons you should be fine. I've demo'd them and they are fairly forgiving given that style of club.

      Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.

      but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
