I did a couple of searches but couldn't find anything on these. Recently picked them up on sale ($14 for a dozen), just wondering if anyone has any experience with them? I believe the Warbird series going to 3 piece is new.

I've never seen the Warbird 3.0. I just picked up the Warbird Hex and they are a two piece ball. I plan on using them this weekend.

In my bag:
Driver - Diablo Octane 10.5*
Fairway Wood - Diablo Octane 15*
Hybrid -  Edge 21*
Irons - X20's 4I - 9I
Wedges - X20's PW/SW
Putter - White Ice 1
Ball - Warbird

these balls are mediocre, nothing spectacular to me. good price for sure, but i would use these if i am playing bad. I wouldn't care if i lose these.

I picked up a two dozen box of Callaway Hex Control balls at Costco earlier this year. If I remember right, they were $29 for the 24 balls. I do not like them. I could not get them to stop on the greens. They just ran and ran.

Never heard of either of these balls, nor do I find them on the Callaway website..     Gotta wonder if they aren't something being made exclusively for some chains  (like the warbird clubs made for Dick's but not on the Cally website)..

Razr Fit Xtreme 9.5* Matrix Black Tie shaft, Diablo Octane 3 wood 15*, Razr X Hybrid 21*, Razr X 4-SW, Forged Dark Chrome 60* lob wedge, Hex Chrome & Hex Black ball

You are probably right. Costo is the only place I've seen the Callaway Hex Control golf balls.

    • What's the case against blasting a driver at the green? I'm guessing it puts the penalty area/fescue too much into play, but if that's just standard rough around the green, there would be a good case for it. If it's not driver, then I agree with your approach. The one thing I would add is to shade your aim towards the bunkers vs. center of the fairway. Hitting out of a bunker is (marginally) better than a penalty drop.
    • Yes, if you are gonna layup, then layup. No need to nickle and dime a few extra yards and bring bunker back into play.
    • Took my wedges in to get regripped and saw the local store had some leftover Pure grips, was pretty excited to see those still around. Got those put onto my wedges, I love these grips, they have such a great feel to them. Also picked up a brand new (opened and second hand) Cleveland Huntington Beach putter for a great price! About %50 of retail. It had been purchased by someone else who decided to buy a different putter and was never used. I love the feel of it.
    • I’m not sure I’m following you. My current plan is to take the bunkers out of play completely and hit something like a 6i to 130-150 range.
    • Day 139- Slow, swings with short practice club.
