Best Push cart under $150?

I want to get a push cart, but have never used one before and am looking for some recommendations. My budget manager (wife) has allowed me $150, and I am hoping for some help in selecting one within my price range. I know "you get what you pay for", but don't want some piece of junk that falls apart after a couple of rounds.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

There are plenty of push carts around for under $150. Some things to consider when buying a cart is the size of trunk you have. With a golf bag, how much room do you have left for a cart? If you have limited space, find a cart that folds down to a small size. Also are you set on a push cart and not a pull cart? If you're playing on courses where there are a lot of hills, a push cart is wonderful when you're going down the hill but not so much, when you have to push it up the hill. A pull cart on the other hand, is easier to pull up the hill and going down is easy too.

Thanks for the reply. I was planning to get one that folds up into a compact size, but imagine I will still have to get a little creative when trying to put both the cart and clubs into the trunk. I bumped into a guy on the course the other day who had a push cart (Sun mountain something) and said he turns his cart around and pulls it when he comes to a hill. (sounded reasonable to me, but what do I know) He said he liked the push cart better than a pull cart because he thought it was easier to push his clubs rather than drag them, which is why I thought a push cart was the way to go. I guess I need to do some more research on the pros/cons of both.

any recommendations on specific brands that are worth the money?

I have two of the clic gear 3.0's and they are fantastic. They have room for everything, and you can add accessories galore. They are very compact and they fold out and up in seconds. If you can find a coupon or one on Craigslist or Ebay, I would recommend getting one. They are around 179  to 199, and with the clic gear 3.5's coming out the 3.0's should fall into the 150 dollar range. I have already saved the purchase price plus accessories by not paying cart fees. I bought a second one so that I had one for my playing partners. They have always wanted to walk but they weren't sure about investing in a push cart. Four of my friends have since bought the 3.0 in different colors. One of them traded in his Sun Mountain for the Click Gear, I guess he wanted to be like us!

I got mine from Golfsmith in Dec it was there brand the tour trek 2.0. I got it on sale it was listed as last years model in white/black for $129.99 in Dec. They have the same one now not sure what changed or why it went up to $149.98.

They also got right now the explorer 2.0 for $129.98 that was on sale for $99.99 when I got mine.

What ever the case I really like my tour trek has a little more bells the the explorer, seems very well built no issues at all.

Used it so far about 20 rounds mostly 9 holes to date. I know there are a lot of people who use the Clicgear with no issues they run about $219. I just did not see the need to spend the extra money when I got mine at the time.

I have had the Tour Trek from Golfsmith for 2 years now. Easy to fold up. It actually stays in the trunk of car until game days. Perfect when it rains throw up umbrella holder and out in umbrella and walk as if it is clear. Storage pouch holds enough and the scorecard holder and extra ball and tee holder make it a very appealing push cart. 3 wheels easy brake very maneuverable around the course. Can fit a stand bag as well as cart bag. Price of $129 is good and coupons always apply. They do offer a newer model with 4 wheels and a seat.

CRAIGSLIST........ I bought a clicgear 3.0 for $100 with the plastic still on it. This may be the wrong time of year though. I bought mine in January.

I recently bought a caddytek off amazon for $74 shipped...i got the super saver free shipping but I was able to get mine in 2 days! Have used it once and it works great! Very durable from what it seems.. It has great reviews on amazon as well..

My thanks to all who replied. I found a ClicGear 3.0 on CragisList for $110, and pulled the trigger on it. I haven't had a chance to get to the course yet, but no complaints so far. The thing is built like a tank, looks hardley used and came with a cover, water bottle holder and accessory bag that holds a rangefinder. I expect this should last me for some time.

Great deal, forgot all about CL when I got mine but then again i had gift cards, love those things.
