Hogan ball position

I saw the picture in another post or elsewhere on the 'interweb' showing how Hogan had the ball for every shot inside his from left foot and his right foot would be farther back depending on the club but my question is doesn't this promote a high ball flight and make it harder to hit 'down ' on it?

Higher ball flight for what, the longer clubs?  Hogan swung his arms left or inward so aligning his body to the right as the clubs got longer probably helped him shallow the angle of attack and hit the longer stuff higher than if he was "square" or aimed left.
