They'd just screw it up anyway.

I feel you, I am a Cowboy fan and I have spent the last week trying to figure out WTF Jerry Jones was thinking.

Let's break it down: The obvious consensus on Dallas was they had to get some offensive and defensive lineman.

Round 1- Travis Frederick C Well at least they did get a lineman with their first pick, too bad Frederick was at best a 3rd round pick.

Round 2-Gavin Escobar TE Great a TE! Oh wait we already have a future Hall of Fame TE on the team. Heck Witten is only 30 years old Nice job Jerry, waste a no. 2 pick on a kid who will sit the bench for the next 5 years.

Round 3- Terrance Williams WR . Great another wide receiver! There is a good chance this kid won't even be good enough to be the #3 guy.

Round 3- J.J Wilcox S This is the first pick that makes any sense to me at all.

Round 4- BW Webb CB So lets see here you trade up last year to draft Mo Claiborne and spend a bunch of cash on Brandon Carr both good grabs. One thing Jerry Jones doesn't seem to understand. It doesn't matter  how good your cover guys are if the opposing QB has 15 seconds to throw the damn ball. DRAFT A DEFENSIVE LINEMAN asshat!

Round 5- Joseph Randle RB - Best pick of the bunch they actually needed another running back.

Round 6-DeVonte Holloman LB Mind you most of the best talent was gone by now but really? Ever heard of Sean Lee? Why do you need to draft another linebacker? What part of needing linemen does Jerry not understand?

Anywho, I needed to rant a little about this. Feels good to get it off my chest. FWIW I am looking for a new team to root for I don't think I can be a Cowboy fan anymore until Jerry Jones is dead in the ground.

As a former lineman who played on both sides of the line, I was very impressed with the quality of the linemen in this draft and that many of them were taken in the top 10. I felt that Star Lotulelei and Chance Warmack will make the teams who picked them look smart in the long run. However, the health and longevity of Lotulelei will be a concern everytime he steps on the field.

Not that I'm making a comparison but he did take the Broncos just as far as Manning did last year...

You really think that was Tebow and not Denvers defense two years ago.  The only reason he was able to win them games was because they kept him in it for 3 qtrs until he decided to show up and actually play football.

I'm not a Tebow hater, in fact I think what he did with Denver was amazing. If I were an executive for an NFL bottom feeder I would give him a chance even if it was just to sell tickets. Back to my point . . . there is no comparison between Tebow and Manning or what they accomplished in the Mile High City. If the Denver defensive backs understood rule #1 of their job on the field the Broncos would had NE the next week for the AFC Championship and likely would have won.

The Broncos were a different team with Manning.  However, they would have lost in New England.

    • Day 314 - Putting some things together. Better grip/setup, fuller backswing, better finishing position. Filmed some swings, happy with the progress.
    • Day 130: did a stack session.
    • Day 206 (24 Nov 24)  - An easy session with the 54deg wedge and hard foam balls / one simple goal - distance control thru backswing length while not decelerating.  Had a playing partner comment they noticed me decelerating on a couple short wedge shots in last round.  Hit from distances from close to 40yds down to 20.
    • Musgrove Mill hole #15 was converted to a par 3 after Hurricane Helene. Today, I had 145 from the tee which is a perfect 9-iron for me. I aimed just right of the hole and pulled it a few feet. Clanked off the stick down into the hole and ricocheted out of the hole 13’ away. Drained the putt for a birdie after repairing the hole which was damaged . Not sure if it would have counted as a HIO, but I was pretty excited!
    • Day 55 - 2024-11-24 Did five levels of Operation 36 on GSPro (different courses). 🙂 Was -4 from 200 yards (32) intentionally laying up on each hole (i.e. not hitting a 5I or something). Shot… 22, 24, 26 from 25, 50, and 100 yards. I forget my 150-yard score, but obviously it was < 36. Putting was odd… (and I did it with the wedge or a 7I or whatever was in my hand).
