Hi, I have been struggling to get a consistent, stable putting stroke.  So my question is why is my putting stroke path all over the place and do you have suggestions to make it less "shaky" and more stable?

Thanks.

Sorry about the typo in the title of the thread.  I guess I'm not a big proof-reader. Lol.

No I use a 34" putter.  I had it fitted for me.

Find a flat spot. Get a coupe nails and a string. Put along the string and see where you're natural path I'd. Everyone is different. Some go square back square through, others open and shut. It all depends on you. Once you figure it out practice. Then when long putters are banned, you will know how to putt, jk everyone.

Thanks for the reply.  My natural stroke is an arc (inside-square-inside).  I have tried the straight back/straight through stroke before but it is even worse than "shakey", inconsistent arc stroke because I pull everything.  Hopefully I can find something that makes my natura arc stroke more stable and less "shakey."

Thanks again for the reply.

You are going to get as many different tips as there might be responses to the thread. So, I'll get the ball rolling. Get yourself a putting mat. Line up and then try a forward press. It helped me after practicing for 3 months over a winter. 15 minutes at a time 3X a week, putting 8 footers and 4 footers. Grooving a new stroke took time, but it helped keep the club on a truer path during the stroke. But what really matters is where the club is at impact, just like some of the more awkward full swings out there,
