Last night with my driver , the ball would go dead straight for about 50-75 yards and then had quite the hook on it. Felt real good coming off the clubface but obviously the results were not fantastic....didn't get me into too much trouble actually, but obviously it's not ideal.

I know this has been discussed on this board and I've seem some differing opinions.

So would that be a good swing path with a closed clubface at impact? I don't think I was coming OTT...if anything maybe a little too inside because at times the ball started a little right of center but not much.

thanks.

Do you have a strong grip or weak? Sounds like exactly what you said it is. I used to have this problem and how I solved it was to weaken my grip. Its amazing when you fix your grip how alot of other things fall into place and do what they are supposed to do.

Pretty simple- under the plane, shallow angle of approach, inside out and you're flipping. First fix the clubhead, learn to stop flipping. You'll begin hitting push shots.

Then fix the plane and path. If you need help with that, let me know and I'll point you to some good information

chances are you are flipping/casting. focus on taking a full or even exagerrated follow thru to keep you swinging thru the ball and not at the ball. suffered the same thing myself for 2 months this year.

    • Day 58: night putting session for about an hour. Started with lag putting and ended with putts inside 9’. I need to work on putts from 6-12’, but in a solid spot overall.
    • Birdied a different #6 today (incidentally, also a par-5, but not the same one on which I previously birdied).  Here's the funny thing though:  it's the par-5 that caused me to post my "how do I avoid bogeys?" on par-5s recently.  So I guess I still haven't parred that hole.
    • Day 20, May 24.  Played 18 today, very poor ball driving.  One GIR, and it was a 4-wood from the rough.  Several other instances of hitting a green on a full swing (and at least one full swing motion -- a 50% UW) that wasn't for GIR.   Still shot an 87 and even had a birdie (chip-in).
    • Welcome to TST.  I spent a bit of time in the UK but I had to look up Wagon Wheels.  Don't think I ever saw them.  Had to Google to see.  Couple similar items in US but Google says they are different. 😁
    • Day 264 5-24 Worked on getting chest through and arms down infront of chest. Contact isn't great yet but on video looking better.
