I don't find soccer too entertaining to watch, like golf, however i love playing both, but i haven't played soccer in years because an operation made me quit for a while and i never got back into it.

I'm all for the Arsenal. Anybody seen "Ocean's 12?" George Clooney and Brad Pitt pretend to be a couple of the Gunners in one scene.

So I don't know JACK about soccer or futbol. BUT I am curious to know if that THIERRY guy on the Gilette commercials is worthy to be with Federer and Tiger. . . I mean, these two are on their way to setting marks that will take decades to equal. . . What's this Thierry guy got?

Seriously--I wanna know.

I like to watch womens soccer better than mens. It just seems more interesting. I personally don't like soccer but I do like womens international. I'll watch that.

Thierry Henry? One of the best footballers in the world for the past 10 years.

Thierry Henry?

Thanks, Kellfire. So he IS regarded in the same realm as Tiger/ Federer?

hard to make comparisons between individual sport players and team sport players, I know--is he an equal or a third wheel in the Gilette commercials?

i hate to say it but the holy grail of club football - the european champions league, has eluded theirry henry thus far

he has, however, been crowned world and european champion with his country, france arguably, the most dominant player recently is his compatriot, zinedine zidane. the guy won almost everything

Tottenham?

I mean, I know we haven't, but surely you'd admit we've been playing some beautiful football. Some excellent goals as well.

Yes I will give you that, your football is beautiful, awe inspiring stuff this year. I think the title race this year will be between Man U and Arsenal. Liverpool I give an outside chance but Chelsea are out of it.

Man U supporter myself, great result at the weekend for us!

When do Mun U meat Arsenal do you know? That should be a good game!

    • I have an update… I don't have much of a response, because the fact that they would ADD the numbers for the lead and trail shoulder together… I mean, wow. I was giving them too much credit. Nobody would think to assume they were doing THAT. That's beyond comical. One of the biomechanists I talked to put it this way: "So if I squatted down and went from 180 to 90 deg knee angle, then I would say 180 deg range of motion because I have two knees?" I'd type more (maybe), but honestly, I'm laughing a bit too hard. 🤣 Update: Mini Manavian blocked me on Instagram, so I cannot see his post showing Bryson with about 50° of range of motion (with a driver) from P4 to P7, and 75° only if you go out to the mid-follow-through. What a terrible loss for me. 😉
    • Thanks, interesting to read. The swing is definitely very timing dependent. I hit it consistently I guess but consistently bad.
    • I've shot 91-74 on the same day before. Couple of years ago played a two round tournament on Bethpage Black. I shot 72 in the first round and 90 in the second. First round I played very well. Second round I played okay, but had about 5 shots that hit the lips of bunkers and bounced down into them. A couple of those wound up in footprints - I was unamused - and I failed to get them out. Anyway - lots of bunkers and my bunker play isn't great and then add a couple of footprints and me getting pretty tired and it added up to a lot.  Only you can really tell though what's causing the variance. It might be that your swing is very timing dependent and when it's timed well you play well and when it's not then it goes all over the place. In that case, some lessons and working on your swing could be the key. If it's more that you tend to feel like you hit it fairly consistently, but you have days where the shots come off and days where they don't, then that's more likely a course management issue. If that's what you need to work on, then you could read Lowest Score Wins and build a plan of attack based on that.  Rest assured though that a pretty big range from high to low is fairly common. Even PGA Tour players often have 18-20 shot spreads from best to worst rounds in a season. It's a common affliction among golfers.
