Been using a commercial impact net cage and its not bad, but a few tears and holes are appearing in the left edge. I doubt if it will last more than a few months.  Hopefully when I get some extra cash, I will build my own out of 1 5/8 inch PVC, and impact netting from "Gourock".  It will be 8 x 10 square nylon netting 3/4 inch or maybe 5/8 inch #18. I will then affix the "target" square from my commercial cage as a back wall to reinforce driving hits. The target square so far has held up okay.  Simple design with 8 ft horizontal cross piece, two 7 ft high verticals, four 3 ft sections as a base. all held together with tee connectors and elbows and end caps.  I will not glue the pvc so as to permit portability, but might have to drill holes in the elbows and stick long bolt with wing nuts so they wont pull out from the impact. I estimate the total cost to be around $100 if I use rope borders on the net, or $80 if I go without borders. I could even angle the target square and attach bottom edge to the ground so that the balls would roll back to me.
