wow, that came out wrong, if you want to stop hitting the ball thin and hit more crisp shots, move your hands a little in front of the face.

for me i do what ian poulter does do what feels natural to you, hand even with my long irons and a tiny bit infront with my short irons and wedges.

In some cases that forward press is only a band-aid for a swing that needs to be fixed.

Definitely use whats working, I'm not saying not to, just simply stating that I have playing partners that started using a forward press to get better ball contact and it led to their swing falling apart. Be wary, thats all.

sorry if I came off a little rude - im just saying if the show fits, you know... I have been having alot of luck iwth ,my short irons this way and im loving life so I wont be changing anything anytime soon.... unless I fall apart like your playing partner....
