Are these sets any good? Just looking into getting new clubs, and was wondering if id be better off getting seperate irons and woods or is a package set more beneficial to me?

Driver: Callaway Hyper X Tour
5 Wood: Ping G5
Irons: Cobra fp 4-SW

I prefer bulding ur own set like get ur irons ur woods ur wedges ur drivers etc seprate but if u see a good set at a good price go for it :) only what i think though :)

It depends. Most of the time they aren't of the highest quality. Are you a high handicapper/beginner? If so then one of these packages might be a good option. No sense in paying a fortune for top of the line, brand new clubs if you are just learning the game.

If you're just starting out, a complete set is a pretty good way to go IMHO. It gets you going and supplies a point of reference for your future purchases.

I originally bought a really cheap RAM set from K-mart that got me started. Later on I bought a mid-priced Hippo complete set and have been adding/replacing it a piece at a time. Right now, I'm only using the irons 4-PW and driver that came with my set. I bought 52 & 56 degree wedges, replaced the 3 iron with an Adams hybrid and the 3-wood with a Cobra. The driver is next to be replaced and then the irons.
