Visiting friends they only have regular shafts instead of my normal stiff shafts. How to play with them is choking up and hitting more club going to help?

I think your over thinking this, Just take a more easy swing, go to the driving range before the round and hit at least a bucket so you can get the feel of it, it's different but not worlds different. Driver is going to be the most difficult to get used to.
