Hi would anyone be able to provide some opinionss as to whether these irons are legit? These are Rocketbladez by Taylormade but there arent any serial numbers anywhere. I got these on eBay of course....[IMG] [/IMG]

You might call talyormade and inquire about seial #'s. I don't if they have them or not.

Can't tell any blatant differences between your posted pic and my 6-iron.  What I can share is that the SN# on my irons are on the back side of the hozel and clearly visible.

If your taylormades a were fitted, then each hosel will have a serial number, if not fitted, then I think there maybe just 1 serial number on a single club, that's how it goes in the uk anyway, check all hosels, they look identical to me!!

Only the 7-iron in my set of Taylormade R9TP's have the serial number.  Need a damn magnifying glass to read it, but its there.

Driver: R7 425,  3-wood: V-Steel
3H Burner,  4-pw: R9 TP
SW: Vokey, 56-10
Putter: Cameron

Thank you all for inputs. Are the serials stamped/etched or is it on a sticker?

Very lightly etched and same on all clubs in my Rocketbladez iron set.  All SN#s are the same across all irons as well.

Anybody know who puts the serial numbers on the clubs?

My R7s don't have any serial numbers on them but they were ordered directly from Tailormade and were never in a store.

Mine is also etched.  all the irons have the number 31 etched in but only the 7-iron has the entire serial number (plus the number 31).

Anyone know the significance of the number 31?

I've had several sets of TM irons and some had 1 on the 7 and some had none. I've never had any TM irons that had ser #s on every iron, but that just goes to show you that all this means nothing about your irons. I'd guess legit. Who'd you buy them from? Big seller?

      Thanks but honestly… I don't know any other way. I don't mind being wrong so long as I know where to go from there. I don't like being wrong — I'd love to get things right (which is different than "being right"). I recommend grabbing a furniture slider or a paper plate or something, and doing something like this: First, make a swing where you let your trail foot swing out as you turn, then twist that foot back in. From DL and FO, it'll look like this: Then, during a regular backswing, try to twist your foot in slightly (demonstrated in the left image): You'll notice a crease along the trail side of your hip, your pelvis will "fold" into that thigh (internal rotation of the hip joint), and your "bits" will be squished a little between your pelvis and your thigh. Ben Hogan said once: "At the top of the back swing the groin muscle on the inside of your rt [sic] leg near your right nut will tighten," Hogan wrote. "This subtle feeling of tightness there tells you that you have made the correct move back from the ball." I don't know about that, but you will probably feel something down around that area.

      Yep. I think it will start to feel even more athletic when we start on the downswing stuff later.  I know, it's just I want to be younger so I have more time to enjoy the changes. 🙂

      I need to drop a couple of stone. 🙂 😛    Yep. Yeah, but in the end, it feels more athletic, like you're actually using your legs, yeah? As you know… we use the best available info we have. Like others, I was fooled a little by 2D images for awhile (moving or still). Unlike others, I've learned and grown and moved on since then, while they're still looking at their images (often from lousy camera angles).
