The SuperQuad has movable weights in the rear, which are supposed to change the loft of the club (or was it trajectory of the ball?) by up to 1*. With the extra 2 weight options it allows for much more configurations than the 460.

I recently purchased an R7 460 and it launches the ball pretty high, I chose it b/c of budget considerations. I have no problems getting the golf ball off the ground. I've recently picked up the game again after a few years; I thought I'd have some club envy b/c I didn't shell out the extra $$$ for the SuperQuad. But after my first range visit with the new club, I was quite pleased with the 460.

Since I don't want to bump that old thread someone mentioned, I'd just like to say I love my old r7 425 :) I haven't even touched the weights because my drives are straight (don't ask me how), so I would personally base the decision off of distance and feel... and maybe sound since it's cool to have a nice "pang" when you hit the sweet spot.

Some differences between the Superquad and the 460 are the thin wall construction in the superquad that promotes less rpm on the ball. A more forgiving club, the superquad is.

    • Played Wannamoisett CC on Monday.  What a neat old Donald Ross course, Par 69.  The conditions were immaculate, might be one of the best maintained courses, I've played.

    • If we want to be pedantic, Jordan Spieth would be listed as the best player who hasn't won a PGA Tournament.   (Edit for clarification:  I agree with you, Zeph;  I thought you and some others would find the comment funny, but reading it later, I realize it might not read that way.) Oh wow, Denny McCarthy;  his name came up a lot a few years ago.  Whatever happened to him?  Apparently he made a lot of money.  I suppose that's probably better than being the lowest earning player who has won on the PGA Tour, although these days, the winner's check is a lot larger than it was when I started watching.
    • 41 6 over  3 pars and a few bogies. No Doubles, no triples. Missed a few birdie putts. Had a few birdie to bogie 3 putts. But was driving the ball unbelievably well. My new Ping driver should be considered cheating.
    • Players with most money earned on the PGA Tour without a win Imagine banking millions of dollars and having no trophy to show for it. Here are the players with most money earned on the PGA Tour without a win... I don't think it's close. He has $32 million in earnings. The next close is Denny McCarthy (who????) at $21 million in earnings.  Just by luck he should probably have grabbed one by now.
