Tampa golf trip, any recommendations?

Hey everyone, I'm going to be traveling to Tampa at the end of march for a marathon golf trip. Is there any recommendations for courses to check out? I'm looking to keep it under $75 a round. Thanks.

World woods is awesome - look for deals on golfnow.com - if your time is flexible - should be able to play in your price range

LOTS of options in and around the area. Just fiddle with google Earth and choose Golf courses to be highlighted and you'll see lots of green border lines. That time of year, conditions are usually great- not too hot and all the courses should be in tip top shape. Pass on the TPC, not worth the $$$ IMHO. For a classic, try Dunedin Golf Club designed by Donald Ross. Classic Florida style golf. Innisbrook is an option but prices are well over your $75 for the 2 courses worth playing, Copperhead or The Island. For the World Woods courses, go to their site and sign up for specials- right now, either course is $59, midweek in February. I have played a few north of Tampa area, but not too many south, so maybe someone else can fill in those gaps. I'll be in the area (possibly) a bit later and I plan on giving Westchase a try, along with my usual trip to Lansbrook (one of the first I played down there and a sentimental favorite). A nice mix of bombs away holes and strategic narrow ones. Cheval has changed owners or management or something and isn't as difficult to get out as it used to be- seems to be more open to outsiders. A bit of "condo-golf", but I found it a better test than the TPC in general. The Eagles is another option, but keep it straight- not much room for error. A quirky little course near the Eagles is The Silver Dollar Golf and Trap club. Not a "lux" experience but a few good holes and always very hospitable. More of a "muni-type" conditions last time I played (2010?), but enjoyable never the less. Like I said, there a LOT of options in the area so you wont be wanting for someplace to play.

      Day 26 (16 Feb 25) - Basically a repeat of yesterday- only it was a bit more expanded chips/pitches - 7i, 9i, 50° and 58°.   Big exception was I was hitting groups of 5 one club at a time.  Focused on a specific target point - and coming smoothly through the ball, not punchy.  Got it right about 3 out of 5 - more work needed.

      Things didn’t work out with the cutting horse barn my wife was working for there in Virginia. Their Texas facility we were supposed to move down to ended up delayed for at least an extra year after they’d had us leave Virginia to meet them down there “shortly”. So we ended up getting some land by her family in Missouri and building a house of our own down here instead. Not as many courses, but there is one 5 minutes from the house that’s only $62/mo for both of us to be members at and other nicer ones within a reasonable drive as well.    @Rick_D I’ll try to remember to let you know when I’m heading up that direction. It may happen more frequently in the coming year since a dealer for a business I started recently is based out of St Charles so making deliveries myself might be more economical than shipping.

      I don’t know why my swing got so vertical there. That wasn’t normal.    What did you mean by point 3? I get the hip turn portion.
