Best drills to cure the HOOK !!! Drills at home and driving range

- I have a problem hooking the ball with long clubs like driver and sometimes even hybrids.

- I DON'T HOOK WITH SHORT IRONS, for some strange reason...?

- sidespin with wedges, is also minimal (no hooks with wedges only slight draws at worst).

- I also sometimes top the ball, or thin shot ball. Drills for these could be nice as well.

- I want to prepare on my own accord, for a pro lession, to help with hooking and topping.

- this is why I asked about drills that you could do at home, any other sufferers of the hook want to chime in and help me?

- I'm trying to hit for max power with normal strokes w/ irons and driver. There may be a swing mechanic issue at play also. I'm 5 foot 8 inches tall, so I gotta try to get some good distance especially off the tee. Otherwise I'm in big trouble with short drives at the course...

- I could post a new swing video maybe tomorrow when I go to the local range.

- How do you know exactly , if you are hitting with closed club face? Please give good pictures if you are a more knowledgeable golfer...

If it is closed to swing path, of course you will hit a hook. You can have a hook that starts right and really snaps to the left. That might be more an indication of an extreme inside to out swing path. A person could come of the top and pull hook the ball as well. So it just depends on how you aim, what the club path is doing, and what the face angle is.

that's the thing I've had, it goes straight most of the time, but then it starts hooking once the ball starts climbing higher in the air.
