Just joint TST today.  I have been golfing(badly) off and on for almost 30 years. Found this site looking for general golf info.

I am always looking to improve but a lot of times it seems like 1 step forward 2 steps back process.

On another note, where do you create your signature?   I was looking in the profile settings and was unable to find it.  I am sure it staring me right in the face.  :)

You can create a signature once you have met the following criteria:

  • Have made posts that span a full seven days.
  • Have 10 published posts that clear TST's anti-spam tool (i.e.: You're a real person, not a bot, who is not posting garbage/advertisements).

      I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
