What really irks me is they do all that, and all it takes is one person who has a brain fart during an interview or maybe says something while drunk. They do try and isolate the pieces so that everyone knows just enough of their bit.
No trailer yet and it's March. Last time we were getting set/location photos here and there, this time, it's pretty quiet.
I see alot of it being stats driven. 30 years ago, the only stat that really mattered was "W". Yea guys like Jack were touted for their driver distance, Player for short game, etc. But there wasn't this obsession with every little detail. I don't think I ever averaged more than 165 with a 7 iron, but I also didn't obsess over how far pros were hitiing it.
On the cusp for me. I'm finally comfortable with my swing - don't get me wrong, there's definitely room for improvement but it's a good enough swing to get around the course. I'm working on course management now. Most of my extra strokes come from dumb decisions. Things like trying to split the branches of a pine tree with a 5 wood (off the pine straw at that!) instead of chipping back on the fairway. This may sound kind of silly but I feel I'm only 2 blow up holes away from dropping my handicap significantly.
