Pushing Right with irons

Hey all new member here just wanted to get people's input I've recently got right into my golf. Had a few lessons with a great pro who's helped me take my scores down the only thing is he's been getting me to hit right to draw my shots but my swing keeps wanting to come down on the ball hitting the heel of the club. Which is making me slice it left. I just want to know if anyone has suffered the same and what sort of drills they've used to help push it right. Cheers Mark
