Course recommendations in Richmond VA area

Divot Master

Headed to Richmond VA on short notice, staying with non-golfers.  Any recommendations on places to play Sunday or Monday?  I prefer architecturally interesting layouts, in good condition.  Cost less important.  Played Royal New Kent last year and enjoyed it. How are the conditions there these days?

Williamsburg is about 45 minutes if that from Richmond and has some great courses close to Royal New Kent...  Golden Horseshoe (Gold Course), Kingsmill (River course- hosted LPGA and PGA events)- need to check though as I heard it was going private and don't know if they have yet.

Fords Colony (Blackheath & Marsh Hawk), Williamsburg National (Yorktown course),  Brickshire isn't bad either...   You have plenty of good choices....

Either way, you have to let us know where you play, course conditions, and of course how you play lol...
