I didn't like Anthony at first, but he made me reconsider when he sent Krista home. He's got game, and I find his commentary funny. I was surprised about the 8i challenge yielding such poor results from most of them, guess nerves are showing already. I'm looking forward to next week.

Really surprised that a simple 8i chip (half swing) toss from 100 yards wasn't the go to decision in the challenge - I thought it was a good option.  But when that was chosen they missed off line weird  - Anthony's distance was perfect and I'm surprised his shots were pushed so far off.

Yes I found that interesting as well. Anthony was criticized for selecting a 100 yard "feel" shot. Then a few moments later, one of the guys picks 134, with the explanation that "this is just a perfect 3/4 8-iron for me." WTF?? As if he even knows what a three quarter iron feels like. Maybe it was 71%? Or 82%? Fittingly, he hit a terrible shot.

Just goes to show that some of the bad conventional wisdom in golf is still quite prevalent out there.

As for my thoughts on the show, I was really surprised how poorly most performed on the flop wall. There were a lot of tense swings in that bunch.

And while Katie seemed nice and I was sorry to see her go, if you can't hole a 4 footer for the win, then you basically dug your own grave.

I forgot about the guy who said it was a perfect 3/4 swing for him at 134.  Unless you play a limited club selection challenge why would you even know what the perfect distance for your 3/4 swing 8i is?   Even more ridiculous is that he thought he could pull it off under the pressure of Big Break.

Flop wall circle seemed to be at an awkward distance, I think it was a tougher shot than they might have thought.

The one thing about the flop wall was that it was a tight lie and you have to go after it to get it up and over. The guys had some weiner swings up there.
