Describe your putting stroke and why you use that stroke.

Ive recently gone to a form of the claw grip used by Chris DiMarco. My index finger on top of the grip, middle finger on the side of the putter and the other two off the grip entirely. It might not work for you, but it works for me. Ive lowered my putting average by 3 shots.

Arc: because it's the only stroke that makes physical sense. :)

I use a very conventional, grip, stance, and putter (old ping anser). My grip is very (loose) soft as I like to feel the weight of the putter head and the soft grip allows that for me. I have practiced long and hard to take my wrists out of stroke and feel my shoulders drive the entire stroke. My ping is "face weighted" as my stroke is more "back and through" on the target line.

I will say that I sometimes struggle on slower greens (8 and below). I have a tendency of wanting to 'hit' the ball which throws my path out of whack.

absolutely the same thing i use. of course, it's physically impossible for a stroke to be completely straight, but i sure ain't trying to open and close the face. i swear to god it's possible to hook a put. i try to go as straight as i can with as little hand/wrist as possible.

I agree with the math on the inside - square - inside but I can't make that consistently work for me. My best putting is along the line of the square - square - square as it feels easier to repeat. That is what I feel, but in reality I would love to know what the putter head / face is really doing when I putt.

Swing = Stacked and On Plane when possible.

Inside, square, inside. Of late its been outside inside on longer putts though which has made lag putting a pain in the butt. Back to the practice green we go...
