I am a true 5.2 handicap and really want to work on my game for 2015.  I play local, state and national tournaments/qualifiers (yet have never even come close) and really want to compete this coming year.  I have been playing for about 10 years, I'm 39, 2 kids and I work  in sales for a living.  I've competed at sports all my life but I truly have found a passion for golf in my older age.  Any recommendations as to how I improve? I'd like to be able to stop choking and play good during tourney rounds as well as at my home course....

Are you tense? Salesmen are often driven in ways people dont understand. Could you relax into a confident consistentency of swing and game planning or is it some technical thing that you suspect would help you? At 5.2 hc you have most of the field beat on form so its a sure thing that you are strong in that area.

    • Wow, largest ever 36-hole lead at the Masters. Seems good. I don't really have much to add, but I'm having a great time nursing a cold by watching this tournament.  I doubt Rory fumbles this one, but you never know. As a fan, I hope he can close this out with two rounds to go.  I saw a funny comment somewhere where someone said Bryson should try to 3D print himself a green jacket.
    • Day 234 4-10 Blending hip/chest rotation backswing work and wrist arch in downswing. Pause at the top and slower swing. Recorded and hit foam balls.
    • Day 2, April 10 2026.  After watching today's excellent Masters broadcast, I have hit 18 balls, one at a time, each after doing the pelvis limiting drill.
    • Day 33 (10 Apr 26) - Played in the club Friday shootout with a slight twist as the course was setup for tomorrow’s local “Masters” one day tournament.  The pins were in some slippery places and the greens firm and bouncy.  Overall made for staying the process all the more important especially on the greens.
    • Rory up by six - makes me wonder if the powers that be will adjust Augusta’s moving day setup to be uber tough or uber getable to get a few closer.
