i currently have a burner rescue 19*

honestly, i'm not a huge fan. it's pretty easy to hit (sometimes i just screw up because i try to pull a wood swing on it). however, my natural swing is a draw.. (lately i've been pretty inconsistent with that though) so on a good swing, the closed, offset face really puts way too much draw on it. also, i'm not a big fan of the super high ball flight.
i'm considering. the titleist 585h, taylormade rescue tp, adams idea pro, and cobra baffler pro.. which would you guys recommend and do you think it's even worth switching? btw.. that hybrid is my gap between 3 iron (190) and 3 wood(220+) ... right around 195-210

Adams Idea Pro hands down. Titleist hybrids are garbage IMO. The new TaylorMade TP is nice, but still doesnt have the feel of the Adams. Not a big fan of anything that Cobra makes. Ultimately, you really need to go out and hit these clubs and see what works for your swing. They are all going to have different feel and ball flights, so a little range time with them will give you the answer to your question.

Everything he said... except the opposite.

Note that I've not hit the Adams hybrids, but the Titleist hybrids are garbage? Not by a long shot, no, sorry. I moved from a TM rescue dual TP because the ballflight was too high (and uncontrollably high at that) to a 585.H and couldn't be happier. Better feel, better response, better control. I write a little more in my review .

The Adams Idea Pro Hybrid was the choice for me. I was hooking my previous hybrids (Callaway) and wanted something with no offset. Couldn't be happier with the Idea Pro. That said, I have not tried the Titleist. With a reputation of being "players clubs", I somehow feel like I have to earn a single digit handicap to even consider a Titleist. The Titleist name brand just psyches me out when it comes to clubs.

your review definitely sang it's praises.. sounds good. it's not really, really unforgiving though is it? my swing is good for my handicap though. i can hit a decent 3 iron more often than not. and yes, the ability to work it left right low and high sounds awesome.. i'll definitely be considering this.

Hit the Idea Pro then come back and edit your post. I will admit that the TM Rescue Dual's are not good hybrids, always felt hollow to me at impact, if that makes any sense. I like alot of what Titleist makes, but their hybrids just need alot of improvement. I wish they were as solid as their drivers and irons, but they just arent.

No need. I've hit plenty of hybrids to know what I like and dislike about them.

And I say they are. So, I guess that's that.

The Adams Idea Pro would be one to look at for you based on what you wrote. You should probably try some of the new Titleist hybrids too, and see what Mizuno has to offer.

Driver: Taylor Made  Rocketballz Stage 2
3 wood: Rocketballz Stage 2
4 wood: Rocketballz Stage 2
Hybrids: Cleveland 20 and 23.5 degree

I've hit the Adams, Titleist, Baffler, Mizuno, like them all pretty good. I picked the Mizuno for me easy to hit and reasonable price compare to the others.

Titleist 585H and Adams Idea Pro would be my recommendation in order. Both have 0.5" shorter length compared to the rest of the hybrids you mentioned. Tried all the ones you mentioned above but decided to go for 585H. All else equal I prefered 585H out of the rough compared to Idea Pro. Idea Pro almost felt like a long iron from the rough maybe due to smaller head... On the fairway it was pretty even. Face itself felt hotter with Idea Pro but distance and consistancy was better with 585H. If you want the most distance above all else then cobra baffler pro is not bad either.

Edit - My previous hybrid was Taylormade Rescue Dual TP 16º .

I have the burner 3 and 4 and is working out well for me as I have a slow swing speed. Also matches my irons very well, without me making huge adjustments, cause they all have smililar shaft, flex and grip. The club face is actually squared. But it does have an offset. It makes more of a "pinggg" stainless steel type of sound like a fairway wood. So you might be tempted to setup like a fairway. But I hit it more like an iron with the ball position in between mid iron position and fairway positon. I saw a trainning video somewhere and posted in the "hook the daylights out of the hybrid" thread.

There are so many superb hybrids out there, you just need to try them and find the right clubhead/shaft combination that works for you. I started with the TaylorMade Rescue. It just felt too heavy and I never got comfortable swinging it. The Cobra Baffler, with the Aldila NV shaft just seemed perfect for me. I stopped looking after I fell for that club. I am sure there are other hybrids with which I would be happy, but for now the Cobra gives me what I want. Go try a few brands and, remember, one man's poison is another man's Chateau Lafite. In other words, don't discount a brand based on somebody's post, here; go see for yourself what works best for you. Good luck.

I'm a bogey golfer and have 21 degree 585h but with the stiff YS6+hybrid shaft. I got the combo as I love the YS6+FW, but, the stiff FW has a 3.6 torque, which I love in a fairway club and the hybrid has a 3.0. It feels more like the NV. Anyway, I've heard that the 585 is more of scratch golfer club but I've had good luck with it. It is really a great mix of iron and fairway. If you like a less iron look at set up, Callaway X's and fusion's are nice. I'm going to demo them in the spring. good luck.
