A quick check after work today. Trying to feel a full torso turn while keeping incline.

Good. Keep the most width you can at the top. W-I-D-E.

No flip flops?! That’s bold to swing with a driver inside! You are definitely more man than I am :-)

Ok some postural adjustments looking at last night's swing:

1) More bend for a 'more vertical' shoulder pitch.

2) Arm hang.

3) Combo of 1 and 2 for a little more separation of arms from torso.

And yes, more width.

Not terribly worried but that little lift up and out of incline just before getting to A4 is a bit annoying.

Feels like a pull cut but with my tendency to drop the club in not sure a bad thing. I think..

1. Bend sufficiently to have arms hang away from torso.

2. First move - track club head, hands, soft arms straight back as wide as possible without losing peripheral vision of target.

3. Wide, wide, wide. Arms, especially left, maintain soft stretch. Do not 'load' arms.

4. Maintain incline, finish A4 with patience and...GO.

Overall the feel is of space and 'carrying' ropy arms and club around the inclined  body.

Have had a hard time maintaining my feels. Zero concentration on the course.

Reminder. Stay soft and 'dropped' at address, unified arms. Coil 'up', stay wide, let club sit on the neck and pull through.

ABSOLUTELY no shoving/pressuring the club shaft out against the body!!!

I’m confused by “let the club sit on your neck.”

Sorry just saw this. It was a feel to not let shoulder turn on a flat pitch and let the club just fall behind me. In short a code for a steeper shoulder pitch, and vertical width.

Attempted to get hand as high as I could get for width.

Vishal, I love you, but no. Not this at all.

Your right elbow is bent as f***. Your wrists are hinged as f***. The shaft is three inches from your neck. Your hands are eight inches from your head.

Another go. Focus on nothing but trying to get my hands as far away as I can. Felt all of my left ribs.

Very good. Now do that a million times, and record yourself often and make them at least as good as those.

I have nothing to add about your swing, but what is going on with that fan?

    • If I was going to try to help someone fix a low snap hook without actually seeing their swing I would have to tell them to break down the problem into pieces. See if you can fix the "low" part of the problem first. A low ball flight tells me you are probably swinging level or hitting down on the ball instead of hitting up on it. Try teeing the ball higher than you are comfortable and put the ball up in your stance a little further up than comfortable...try putting it off your left heal or even the left toe. Try to feel like your club head is swinging up through impact. Try that first and see if it gets you to a high snap hook or a high pull hook.    If you want to address the hook part of the swing you are going to have to look at two areas of the swing as well as your concept of what the arms and hands do through impact. I love talking through this stuff with people but I'll only go into it further if you really want to go down that rabbit hole...you would have to say so. Swing well my friend!
    • Hello everyone! I haven't been on a golf forum in many years...since the old 4gea days if I remember right. Love to talk swing mechanics and hope to meet up for some range time and golf with others if possible. Been in Houston for a year now but haven't managed my way out on the course anywhere. I hope to change that in 2025. Hit 'em hard everybody!
    • Day 6: Worked with 6-iron, same stuff; neutral grip, centered turn. Feeling a bit lost right now, but have a lesson booked in about 10 days.
