I'm not sure how this will affect other parts of your swing but try a weaker grip. A strong grip can promote a cupped wrist at A1. The first thing James had me do when I started with Evolvr was to weaken the grip to help get rid of the cup at address as it was throwing things off at A4.

Hi @keeps21 , thanks for taking the time to look at my swing and the advice.  I've definitely got to bow "the shit" out of it during the backswing as @mvmac and you suggested.  It's such an opposite feel for me which is why I'm finding it difficult to achieve.  My grip is already quite weak, the lack of shaft lean is probably what makes my wrist look cupped in the picture.  I've been looking at videos of DJ and he starts to bow the wrist from the beginning of the takeaway, so if it's good enough for him, I'm going to give it a shot!

I'm having a lesson locally next week so hopefully a one to one session will aid my progress.

Thanks again for your help and good luck with your progress, your swing is looking good considering you have had 18 months off.

I stumbled across the "twist away" takeaway to create a flatter left wrist and it seems to make an improvement. Time and repetition will decide whether it makes any difference. The golf swing is not decided by the position at the top though. A flatter wrist should be the easier part, the OTT and weight shift are where my swing will need major work.
