The Strangest thing happend on #4 yesterday.

To change things up we decided to play a course in the next town over Sunday, had the 7:30 tee. Perfect day.

Anyway, so I pitch up on to #4, walk up mark my ball and go to tend the flag.

After my buddie putts, it's my turn, I walk back over to where my ball should be a can't find my mark. I'm using one of those standard small-sized plastic marks, cause I left my normal on at home. (Doh!)

Anyway I'm looking, and the other guys come over. The greens haven't been mowed yet so you can see the tracks of the ball rolling in the dew, so I traced my pitch roll and think it should be in spot "A". There is no mark anybody in our fore some can see, so they agree to let me putt from spot "A".

I put my ball down, step back and look at the line. Then I step up to putt and what do I see 18" from my ball? You guessed it, my mark. Now I'm kinda freaked out, because I SWEAR it wasn't there :30 seconds before that, and so do all the guys in my group.

One of the guys in the group things the green must be haunted. I'm starting to think he may be right!

FWIW - I holed the putt (about 16') for par.

I'm guessing you either stepped on it and it was stuck to your shoe, or it was stuck to the bottom of your putter, then came off as you were getting lined up. With those little plastic marks, they can stick to stuff very easily when wet because they have so little weight to them.

Nope, checked both. AND if it just dropped down there is no way it would have been stuck all the way in, you have to push down on it to make it sit flush.
