I thought I would start a thread for this. Post any disc golf VLogs here.

Played the front nine at Village Park in Sussex, WI this morning.   I really like this course.  A few holes are a bit long for me but that is okay.  I will try and get the back nine tomorrow morning.

I wish I had time to play more than I have. I'm up to… yeah, nine holes this year so far. Man, that stinks.

I hope to play a course out of state in the next few days as I travel to Indiana, though.

Good round. Told you you'd improve quickly at first. Work on trusting that you can turn your back to the target, now. :)

Here is the back nine from that same course, Sussex Village Park.  I am really starting to move away from the Innova Monarch discs I was throwing off the tee as they tend to turn too much now.  I threw my Blue 166g MVP Fission Volt off the tee a bunch this morning.  It flies better for me and is more predictable with a nice reliable fade at the end.  I still need to work on keeping it a bit lower.  I also threw an Orange 170g Innova Star Destroyer a couple times.  It works great on the downhill shot and also on holes like #13 where it calls for a bigger hyzer type shot.  My putting was solid today and I think I was about -2 this morning.  My best round yet over the two weeks I have been playing.

I have a single drive (with a Lace, at Belmont Park near Dayton, OH earlier today). Wind was hard across from the right, which is probably why I didn't give it a bit more height to let it flex back out of the turn.

Still, I reached this "600" foot hole (supposedly) with this and an Axis on a steep hyzer for my second throw.

Erik and I played a disc golf course near where my parents live in NE Ohio. I would classify myself as a newbie player.

Had a few good throws today, especially when I tried not to throw the disc at 1000 mph.

In the end I lost one disc, but had a great time. I'll look into playing more in the future. Really a fun game.

Yeah I am having as much fun playing disc golf as I ever had playing regular golf. Found the driving putter that I have been looking for in the Innova Colt. That thing goes forever and flies so straight. Holds a hyzer line as well as on the third hole in that video.

Man you are lucky to have such a well maintained course nearby.

I used to play with a single Innova Gazelle (and I carried another disc in case I lost the Gazelle). It was good enough to have fun.

      So, my league starts next week, and I have a golf trip in two weeks. I am thinking no matter what I do, I will have to do my left leg and downswing turning piece. At least this turning piece helps me negate shanking the shot.  I probably shanked the foam ball about 10x in a row yesterday. Given, I was doing downswing work with not much caring about the body rotation. I was struggling to feel the same thing from two days ago. Where I was able to feel the arm piece and the turning piece working together. Yesterday, my body turn was just destroying my arms down piece.  That said, it’s not like I have a great feel for where the club is in space. Especially with how fast the downswing is. If I do the arms downswing piece with the turn piece better. I just feel those two things. Then after I am going into the finish I am like, "Oh, that was center of the clubface". I am glad the clubface found the ball. Maybe that is normal when you are trying to fix your mechanics. You are so hyper focused on the hitting the swing feel that the feel for the club is just gone.  I’ve watched YouTube videos where they talk about how correct lower-body mechanics give you the feeling of having tons of time in the downswing. I’m like, BS! there is no time. If anything, it feels faster now. 🤣 I do notice that the clubface stays more open past impact, less flippy. Not like I am trying to do that. Actually, with the downswing arm piece, I am trying to feel like I am rolling my wrist (closing the club a bit more).
