Rent Golf Equipment in the US

Hello Everyone

I intend to travel through the US form about 8-10 weeks and like to play Golf on different Golf Courses on the East and West side of the US and then traveling the to Florida.

I am afraid to carry on the 2 Golf bags during our travel from Europe to the US and in the US from City to City.

I am wondering if in the US it is similar like in winter season (Rent Ski Equipment at the ressort) that you can hire Golf Equipment for few days at different location near by the Golf course.

Can you please give me your experience / opinions about my intention. Is it even possible to Rent Golf Equipment in the US ?

Thanks for your assistance and recommendation.

Have a nice day. Best regards

Gregor

Welcome to the forum @GSpuhler

Most courses rent equipment. When you call to make your tee time, you have them reserve a set. I have done that many times when traveling. I'm not sure if a retailer like Golfsmith does this or not.

Depending on where you are playing, some of the equipment is pretty shabby while other places have really nice rentals. If it matters to you, I would also ask about the set.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
